‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ record breaking debut relieved Sebastian Stan
Marvel star Sebastian Stan is extremely relieved of the record-breaking success of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. The brand new Marvel Disney+ series had the most-watched debut in the short history of the streaming service, putting the new show on the past to success.
Sebastian Stan relieved of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier success
When you consider The Falcon and The Winter Soldier beat both season 1 and 2 of Star Wars’ The Mandalorian and WandaVision for this feat, it becomes even more impressive. While talking to Good Morning America, Sebastian Stan was asked:
How does it feel to have a record-breaking streaming show now that everybody’s loving?
In response, the Winter Soldier was clearly over the moon, but more like relieved as he said:
Look, it’s a relief, you know? We didn’t screw it up… yet. So, it’s good.

I hope people take away from the show that we did not mess up the Marvel brand. This could have went really wrong and we could have been the first bad Marvel show, and we’re not. We kept it going!
And there’s no doubt that this indeed is a huge success for Marvel. Both the Falcon and The Winter Soldier were not favorites of the fans as far as their characters were concerned. But, by putting them on the pedestal for the first time in the MCU is proof to the showrunners that they’re on the right path.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier explores the lives of these two characters after the events of Avengers: Endgame. In particular, it focuses on the mental health issues that Stan’s Winter Soldier faces after his monumental struggles. In a recent interview, Sebastian Stan said:
I was excited about that, because I think we talked a lot about it in some of the other movies, and there was never enough time to just sort of explore him after Civil War and where he was at and how much he had confronted, how much there was still left for him to deal with. So, this is really the perfect time, you know, for both of these characters to be learning more about themselves, the world they’re in, and their priorities, and he’s right up there with Sam on that.
Episode 3 of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will air on April 2nd on Disney+.
