Today Hosts Replace Megyn Kelly on NBC

0 1,257

The entire Megyn Kelly episode has been nothing but a disaster. After the Megyn Kelly Today host made controversial blackface comments on her show, things started going down. Following extreme backlash, NBC was left with no option but to fire her off. And now the Today gang has replaced her for the 9 am slot on the channel. Hoda Kotb, Craig Melvin, Al Roker, and Savannah Guthrie have already announced their plans for the morning show. Interestingly, Al Roker seems to be pretty much enjoying all this. And he has every reason to. Al Roker was taken off the 9 am hour previously to make room for Megyn Kelly. And it seems like he won his position back fair and square!

New Today Hosts!

The Today hosts announced that they were starting a new chapter in the third hour of their show. And that the Today family will continue to provide informative and important stories like they previously have. Just like they always have. Al Roker and Hoda Kotb anchored the Monday show. But it’s still not very clear whether Hoda will be a part of the 9 am team. It makes little sense since she is already on air from 7 am to 9 am and then back again at 10 am.

Al Roker was pretty disappointed but remained gracious when he was taken off the 9 am slot for Megyn Kelly. But the Today host made some contribution after Kelly’s blackface comments and that did play a part in her exit. But now that Al Roker is back on spot, maybe ratings for NBC will improve. They went down considerably when Megyn Kelly took the 9 am slot. And that affected the show of the Today hosts Hoda and Kathie Lee Gifford that followed.

Maybe the Today hosts bring some good to the 9 am slot!
