One of the members of the Vlog Squad, Durte Dom (real name Dominykas Zeglaitis) is being accused of sexual assault and rape. A woman that has appeared as an extra in David Dobrik’s popular Vlog Squad videos claims that she was raped by Durte Dom.
The woman says she was too intoxicated to give her consent
A woman (who’s anonymously named Hannah) told Insider that she appeared in one of the Vlog Squad’s videos in 2018. In that video, she was too intoxicated to give her consent and permission to have sexual intercourse with Durte Dom (Dominykas Zeglaitis).
The event occurred during a night where they were filming for David’s vlogs. In the video, it’s portrayed as if everything is happening with her consent. When in actuality, that was not the case. Therefore, the vlog’s portrayal of her sexual encounter with Durte Dom as consensual is misleading and false.
Hannah did not know who David Dobrik and Durte Dom were
The night when the incident happened, Hannah was with her college friends. There was a group of seven of them and they were going to meet David Dobrik. Hannah’s friends knew who Dobrik was and had watched the previous videos he made. However, Hannah herself was not familiar with his content or level of fame. This was happening in November 2018, when David Dobrik was on the rise with almost ten million subscribers. His half-scripted Vlog Squad videos were short videos consisting of comedy and pranks. During this time, the Vlog Squad almost had a cult following with thousands of supportive followers and fans.
During that time, the group of friends went on their way to film a video with David Dobrik’s Vlog Squad. On the day Hannah and her friends were to meet the whole squad, one of Hannah’s friends had a conversation with Durte Dom over Instagram. In the text conversations, Dom tells the girl that he would like to ‘hook up’ with one of them. And some of Hannah’s friends were interested in that.

The college students knew that Dominyakis Zeglaitis put on a character of a ‘sex addict’ for the vlogs. But they were not sure how much truth there was to that character and if they actually were supposed to perform sexual activities with him.
So they asked him over Instagram Messages:
“The sexy stuff won’t be in the vlog, right?”
He replied to them saying:
“Might need to take a pic just to show dave so he believes me haha,”
Here Dom is implying that he needed a picture as evidence to show to David Dobrik.
Hannah was just twenty years old at the time and wasn’t sure what was going to happen but was ‘up for an adventure’. But she says that ‘she couldn’t have predicted the traumatic events about to occur that evening.
The vlog squad members supplied alcohol to college students
Hannah told Insider that Dom Zeglaitis raped her and engaged in sexual acts with her that night. She says she was so intoxicated with alcohol that she was not able to give her permission and consent. Hannah further reveals that the adult Vlog Squad members gave them alcohol since they were too young to get it themselves.
Before they got to the alcohol, Dom had lured her into a dark bedroom and kept asking for her to hook up with him but she repeatedly said no. Dom said that he at least needed a kiss from her. Hannah was scared and wanted to get back to her friends who were at the other part of the house. So she just gave him a kiss reluctantly. And then she went back to where her friends were where there was now alcohol.
David Dobrik filmed a video of Hannah entering Dom Zeglaitis’ bedroom. A couple of days later, Dobrik had edited the footage and spun it into a ‘threesome plot’ titled “SHE SHOULD NOT HAVE PLAYED WITH FIRE!!”. Later, it was deleted as per Hannah’s request. But before it was deleted, the video was viewed over 5 million times.
Durte Dom has not addressed the matter yet, but a week ago he made a Vlog Squad video talking about other scandals that occurred in the YouTuber group
He talked about the Seth Francois sexual assault incident and how he felt that he needed to put a stop to a situation that he later realized was wrong. Dom also mentioned how he felt apologetic about engaging in racist behavior that hurt Francois. He further mentioned how it wasn’t appropriate and right to “bully” another former vlog squad member, BigNik.
As for David Dobrik, his attorney Bryan Freedman shared with Insider that Dobrik would be “addressing his community directly”. He also added:
“Anyone who knows him knows he does not condone misconduct in any form. Vlog participants provide consent before anything is posted. Whenever consent is retracted, posts are removed. Any insinuation of wrongdoing is inaccurate and defamatory.”
