Chris D’Elia facing Child Pornography lawsuit!
The lawsuit also includes allegations of statutory rape.
Comedian Chris D’Elia, who has been embroiled in sexual harassment allegations since last summer, is now facing a child pornography lawsuit. The woman involved in this lawsuit claims D’Elia slept with her when she was underaged and shared her explicit photographs.
Chris D’Elia circulated child pornography!
Filed on March 2nd, the woman in the lawsuit remains a Jane Doe. She alleges that D’Elia slept with her in 2014 when she was a minor girl (17-years-old). Moreover, the claimant also alleges that she sent more than 100 photographs and videos to D’Elia via Snapchat. According to the lawsuit, Jane Doe says she messaged the comedian when he was on his ‘Under No Influence’ tour. It said:
When I was in my final year of high school and still a child, I was groomed by a celebrity twice my age. Chris D’Elia abused his status and fame to lure me in, take advantage, and manipulate me when I was at a vulnerable age. I want any other girls out there to know that they are not alone, and it is time to get justice for the mental and physical toll he has put us through.
In response, D’Elia’s spokesperson told the LA Times:
Chris denies these allegations and will vigorously defend against them in court.
Moreover, the lawsuit also claims that D’Elia:
constructed a manipulative, controlling, and abusive dynamic in which he demanded Ms. Doe provide him sexually explicit images of herself over the internet, directed her what specific sexual poses and acts she should perform for him, and psychologically punished her when she refused.
40-year-old Chris D’Elia was 34 at the time of this alleged incident. Moreover, the claimant also accused D’Elia of persuading her to attend his stand-up show in October 2014 at Connecticut’s Foxwoods Resort Casino. Her lawyer said in a statement that D’Elia:
lured [Doe] to his hotel room…separated her from her friends, and took advantage of her youth and inexperience to have s*x with her.
Last year, D’Elia was accused of inappropriate behavior, sexual harassment, and sexual misconduct by multiple women, some of whom claimed to be underaged at the time. He released email exchanges with some of the alleged victims, but most remained unanswered. Furthermore, more women came forward in August accusing D’Elia of exposing himself in front of them. In response, D’Elia released a statement saying:
I have never knowingly pursued any underage women at any point. All of my relationships have been both legal and consensual and I have never met or exchanged any inappropriate photos with the people who have tweeted about me.
Just last month, D’Elia released a video on YouTube where he addressed his scandals of sexual misconduct and his absence from social media ever since.
