Justin Trudeau had a sweet message for Dan Levy when he hosted SNL
Schitt’s Creek co-creator and star, Dan Levy, recently hosted Saturday Night Live (SNL). He received support from all across the globe on his SNL debut but the most notable one might have been from the Prime Minister of Canada himself, Justin Trudeau.
Justin Trudeau’s sweet message for Dan Levy
After Dan Levy’s entertaining appearance at the SNL as the host, Justin Trudeau tweeted out a supportive message:
@DanJLevy When one of us shines, all of us shine – isn’t that right? Thanks for making the whole country shine last night, and congratulations on a job well done hosting @NBCSNL

Levy loved hosting the show SNL
The Canadian actor said that he felt honored to host the SNL show and was rather excited when his father, Eugene Levy, also made a cameo in the episode.
Dan Levy appeared in hilarious skits and sketches throughout the show. In the monologue, he took the audience on a tour showing the various COVID safety precautions the show was using.
Apart from his father making an iconic appearance on the show’s episode, Dan also received support from his family on social media! His mother, Deborah Levy, tweeted out this after her son’s SNL episode aired:
This goes out to the bully punks at Camp WTF who made life miserable for a certain cabin-mate back in the the summer of ‘96 – just because he was different. Well, after all these years I have just 7 words to say to you: “Live from New York, it’s Saturday Night!” @danjlevy ❤️

It was pretty exciting for Schitt’s Creek fans to see Dan Levy up on the SNL stage. It was a moment long overdue.
This isn’t the first time Levy made his homeland Canada proud. Last year, his show ‘Schitt’s Creek’ won every major category it was nominated for at the Emmys! Justin Trudeau congratulated him on that occasion as well.
Congratulations to the cast and crew of @SchittsCreek for their historic Emmy's sweep tonight – and for bringing such joy and humour to all our lives these past six years. And to all Canadians who were nominated this year, we’re so proud of your great work too.
