Kathryn Hahn discusses ‘WandaVision’ series
The Disney+ series WandaVision has finally made its debut on the streaming service, and everyone is talking about it! That everyone also includes Kathryn Hahn, who made her MCU debut in the series as Anges, who is one of the neighbors of Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olson) and Vision (Paul Bettany).
Kathryn Hahn is very careful to not spoil WandaVision for anyone
While speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Kathryn Hahn talked more about WandaVision, revealing how she has to work extra hard to not spill any spoilers. She said:
I have a couple of friends that are real deep comic book aficionados that have really, really, really wanted to know. And I have had to run a real tight ship, because they come towards with me that extra glass of wine (laughs). I was just like, ‘No! I see right through that. No.’
Hahn also recognized that she made her debut in the MCU quite late and that fans are really passionate about this movie franchise, saying:
This is my foray into the MCU world, and these fans are incredible and really passionate. I mean passionate, and are so creative and have so many [theories]. I’ve heard some of the theories, and it’s awesome. It’s really incredible.
She also made fun of Mark Ruffalo
Despite the pressure of being a new-comer, Kathryn Hahn knows how to deal with the culture of spoilers around at Disney. She knows she has to keep tight-lipped about the series, as fans are dying to know what’s going on. She understands how closely-guarded the MCU is and how she has to tread carefully, unlike Mark Ruffalo who practically once live-streamed Thor: Ragnarok (2017) on his Instagram. Hahn poked fun at him, saying:
You know what? I am learning to be a fantastic secret-keeper. It turns out I am really turning out to be a fantastic secret-keeper. I remember when Mark, sweet Ruffalo, didn’t he get busted for [spoilers]? (laughs) I was like, ‘I do not want to pull a Ruffalo! I am really gonna zip it up.’
Funnily enough, Ruffalo has dropped spoilers more than once. While talking to Good Morning America, Ruffalo once jokingly said “Everybody dies” in Avengers: Infinity War. And it was half true, even though it sounded too absurd to believe at first. For now, Kathryn Hahn is sure she won’t make the same mistake with WandaVision. New episodes of WandaVision drop on Disney+ every Friday.
