Leonardo DiCaprio & Jennifer Lawrence team up for Netflix’s ‘Don’t Look Up’
Netflix is about to drop another blockbuster movie. And this time, it is unbelievably star-studded. Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence have teamed up for an upcoming Netflix movie named Don’t Look Up. And it’s going to be one for the ages, as they’ll be supported by many Oscar-winning actors!
Leonardo DiCaprio coming on Netflix alongside Jennifer Lawrence
DiCaprio and Lawrence, both Oscar winners, will be playing the role in Adam McKay’s Don’t Look Up. They shot the movie in Boston, where many people got a glimpse of the actors working together. The movie follows two astronomers who set out for a media tour to warn everyone about an incoming meteor that will destroy Earth in 6 months. However, now Netflix has finally released an official teaser in their 2021 lineup preview.
Apart from Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio, the movie is filled with Oscar-winning actors and professionals. The cast also includes two other Oscar winners in Meryl Streep and Cate Blanchett, alongside Jonah Hill, Ariana Grande, Timothée Chalamet, Matthew Perry, Himesh Patel, Kid Cudi, Rob Morgan, and Tomer Sisley.
We haven’t heard much about the film from DiCaprio. However, Streep gave us further details about the movie that hadn’t been revealed yet. And, she’s playing a really significant role in the film as well. Last month on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Streep said:
It’s about a global catastrophe but it’s sort of funny like Dr. Strangelove for 2020 about global warming, a metaphor of that. I play the president of the United States.
Furthermore, Jonah Hill will be playing the role of Streep’s son and her Chief of Staff. Whereas Leonardo DiCaprio will be playing the lead role of astronomers alongside Jennifer Lawrence.
