Joe Biden Vows to take COVID Vaccine Publicly, just like Former US Presidents
President-elect of the United States, Joe Biden, has vowed to take the COVID vaccine publicly when it’s available. He is now joining hands with three alive former US Presidents who started the initiative. Their purpose is to make sure to the American public that the vaccine is safe.
Biden said that he would “be happy” to join former US Presidents Barrack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton in getting vaccinated publicly to prove to the public that it is safe. Moreover, Jimmy Carter has also joined the former Presidents in taking the vaccine. In an interview with CNN on Thursday, saying:
When Dr. Fauci says we have a vaccine that is safe, that’s the moment in which I will stand before the public. People have lost faith in the ability of the vaccine to work. It matters what a president and vice president do. I think my three predecessors have set the model on what should be done.

Joe Biden wants to get vaccinated in public to restore everyone’s trust in the vaccine
Previously this week, the recent former Presidents said they’ll take the COVID vaccine to prove to the public that the treatment is safe and effective. Moreover, they’ll even make the process public via video, to show that they mean it. And now, Joe Biden joins in with their efforts.
Moreover, some states and pharmaceutical companies are planning mass distribution across the country. If things go well, the distribution will begin in the early months of next year. While talking to CNN, Biden also reassured that once Dr. Anthony Fauci and other government experts declare the Pfizer Coronavirus vaccine safe, he will not hesitate in taking them. Moreover, Fauci also said that all the vaccines regulated by the federal government are always safe. Once Fauci declares that the vaccine is within the “measure” of being deemed safe, Joe Biden said then:
… obviously it’s important to communicate to the American people that it’s safe. It’s safe to do this.
Furthermore, Biden also asked Fauci, who has been the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases under the Trump administration, to become his chief medical adviser and a part of his COVID-19 response team.
To finally get rid of the COVID-19 pandemic, the US has to achieve a “herd community”. It requires vaccinating around 60-70% of the population against a particular infectious disease. So far, according to a Gallup survey, only 58% of Americans are willing to take a COVID vaccine. Such measures will help in improving the American public’s trust in the vaccine.
