Disney digitally removes crew member cameo in ‘The Mandalorian’
We'll never forget the Jeans Guy.
2020 also had one blunder for Disney in store. However, this wasn’t dramatic enough to be the reason for the downfall of the Hollywood behemoth. In fact, it gave rise to a lot of memes and a field day for the fans. What happened was that a crew member got a chance for a cameo in season 2 of The Mandalorian. However, now the studio has digitally removed the crew member, known as the “Jeans Guy” on the internet.

And sure enough, Disney was swift in digitally removing the cameo from the episode of The Mandalorian. They must be thanking the designers and heavens for this technology. To be able to edit films from the comforts of a computer at home, especially in the midst of a pandemic, does make life easier for Disney. And so, the accidental cameo from “jeans guy” was lost in time. Luckily, the internet has a long memory, and we have pictures of the “jeans guy” from The Mandalorian saved! Take a look at the extreme left of the shot:
However, this does spark another debate. Is it fair that digitalization has made all online content impermanent? If The Mandalorian was on Television or DVDs, “jeans guy” would be on permanent record. And let’s face it, he wasn’t harming anyone. In fact, it was a cute cameo that made the series all the more endearing. What do you guys think, was the removal necessary? Let us know in the comments below.
