Apple Show Starring Steve Carell, Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston
It seems like a dream come true. Our favorite star celebrities-Steve Carell, Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston all coming together for one show. The cast of Apple’s upcoming morning show drama has been joined by all three stars alike. The Apple show is still untitled and there’s not a lot of details that we already know. But the news of all these three coming together in one show is enough to keep us all excited. If that was the real plan behind this Apple show, then yes, it has worked!
The Real Deal With Upcoming Apple Show
The Apple show is still untitled, and remains the first series ordered by Apple as it is progressing its designs into the television-series space. The drama is originating from Michael Ellenberg’s Media Res studio. And is executively produced by Ellenberg; Aniston and Kristin Hahn through Echo Films; and Witherspoon and Lauren Levy Neustadter through Hello Sunshine. Mimi Leder will direct the project while Kerry Ehrin replaced Jay Carson as show runner in April. This Apple show was sought by a number of outlets and two seasons have been ordered already. There will be 10 episodes per season and Media Res, Aniston and Witherspoon are the principle owners of the show.
This Apple show will also be Steve Carell’s first regular series after he exited the NBC single camera comedy The Office- the reason behind his stardom. In the upcoming series, Steve Carell will play Mitch Kessler. Kessler will be the morning show anchor who is struggling to maintain relevance in a changing media landscape.
This Apple show draws its ideas from Ellen Berg, and takes inspiration from CNN senior media correspondent Brian Stelter’s 2013 book Top of the Morning. Apparently, the work draw the recent rivalry between NBC’s Today and ABC’s Good Morning America.
This Apple show does not have a premiere date yet. But needless to say, fans can’t wait to see Steve Carell, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon on the screens together!
