Taylor Swift Comments On Relationship With Joe Alwyn
Taylor Swift has learned the hard way that it is best to keep your relationship out of the public eye. After getting together with her British boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, she has decided to remain tight-lipped about her love life.
The topic of her relationship with Joe came up when The Beatles icon brought up her song, “Peace” from her folklore album. He told her he likes that song to which Taylor explains it is “more rooted” in her personal life.
“I, oftentimes, in my anxieties, can control how I am as a person and how normal I act and rationalize things, but I cannot control if there are 20 photographers outside in the bushes and what they do and if they follow our car and if they interrupt our lives. I can’t control if there’s going to be a fake weird headline about us in the news tomorrow,” Taylor explained.
Paul then asked her if her boyfriend sympathized and understood. Taylor replied that he “absolutely” does.
Taylor Swift On Maintaining The “Normalcy”
While talking about her privacy and the change she has made, Taylor continued, “But I think that in knowing him and being in the relationship I am in now, I have definitely made decisions that have made my life feel more like a real life. And less like just a storyline to be commented on in tabloids. Whether that’s deciding where to live, who to hang out with, when to not take a picture. The idea of privacy feels so strange to try to explain. But it’s really just trying to find bits of normalcy.”
Taylor explained that she has tried to address this issue in her song, “Peace.”
In the song, she sings, “Would it be enough if I could never fully achieve the normalcy that we both crave?”
The two stars have been together for years. Media outlets first reported on the romance in 2017. However, it is rumored that Taylor and Joe started dating in 2016.
