Britney Spears fans have been waiting quite a long time to see her on stage again. However, they are in store for some disappointing news.

The ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ singer does not plan on making a return to the stage even after the pandemic is over. However, it is not completely impossible. There is one way she would be ready to perform again. And that is if her father, Jamie Spears is removed as her co-conservator.

Britney Spears’ lawyer explained that the star has no interest in hitting the stage while her dad is still in charge of her career and her personal life. This was told to a judge by the legal representative during a hearing in Los Angeles. The hearing was meant to determine whether Britney’s father will remain the co-conservator of his own daughter.

Not only that but the lawyer also revealed that Britney is afraid of her own father.

Samuel D. Ingham III, her lawyer, apparently said to the judge, “My client has informed me she is afraid of her father. She also stated she will not perform as long as her father is in charge of her career. We are really at a crossroads.”

Britney Spears’ Father Fights Back

According to US Weekly, Jamie’s lawyer, Vivian Lee Thoreen slammed all the claims made by Britney. She also argued that Jamie was not even allowed to speak to his daughter thanks to Britney’s lawyer.

However, the court meeting ended with the judge ruling that Britney’s father will continue to serve as her co-conservator and moved the hearing to another date.

This is the current update on Britney Spears’ legal battle to get her father removed as her co-conservator.

This comes after the paperwork was filed in which Britney Spears asked for a private equity firm, Bessemer Trust Company to remain the sole conservator of her estate.
