50 Cent was joking about supporting Donald Trump?
After a serious grilling from his ex-girlfriend Chelsea Handler, 50 Cent has backpedaled from his support for Donald Trump. The rapper caused a heap of controversy after he announced his support for Trump last month. And it was to save some tax. Now, however, 50 Cent (real name Curtis Jackson) has totally withdrawn his support for the President in the upcoming election. Here’s how the events unfolded across the month.

It all started earlier this month when 50 Cent stirred controversy by saying on Instagram that Biden voters in New York were out of their “f**king mind”:
WHAT THE F*CK! (VOTE ForTRUMP) IM OUT, F**K NEW YORK The KNICKS never win anyway. I don’t care Trump doesn’t like black people 62% are you out of ya f**king mind.
And it wasn’t just a one-off post from Jackson. Later, he doubled down on the Democratic candidate Joe Biden‘s tax plan, which could create as much as a 62% tax rate for some New Yorkers and Californians. He wrote in another Instagram post:
Yeah, I don’t want to be 20cent. 62% is a very, very, bad idea. I don’t like it!
And Donald Trump was really quick in flaunting the support from the famous rapper on his famous Twitter account, tweeting:

Chelsea Handler forced 50 Cent to withdraw his support for Donald Trump
However 50 Cent forgot was that his ex-girlfriend, comedian Chelsea Handler, would not take his support for Donald Trump lightly. She replied to one of Jackson’s tweets in support of Donald Trump, saying:
You used to be my favorite ex-boyfriend.

That reply by Handler really rattled 50 Cent, as he tweeted:
oh my God this is effecting my love life now. @chelseahandler I love ya Gator, don’t let Trump and Joe Biden come between us girl. #starzgettheapp

However, Handler was in no mood for Nostalgia. She said she was even willing to pay his taxes if that’s what it took for him to vote for Biden:
Hey f**ker! I will pay your taxes in exchange for you coming to your senses. Happily! Black lives matter. That’s you, f**ker! Remember?
Hey fucker! I will pay your taxes in exchange for you coming to your senses. Happily! Black lives matter. That’s you, fucker! Remember? https://t.co/uQsu7DHrRQ

Finally, Handler’s antics worked on 50 Cent, as the rapper finally caved into the pressure. He withdrew his support for Donald Trump, especially after Chelsea Handler’s interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, where she said she would consider going “for another spin” with 50 Cent if that’s what it took for him to denounce Trump. Later on, Jackson shared a clip of the interview on Instagram with the caption:
a what, another spin, F**k Donald Trump, i never liked him. for all i know he had me set up and had my friend Angel Fernandez killed but that’s history.LOL @chelseahandler @jimmyfallon
And so, Handler’s tactics worked on 50 Cent and the rapper finally gave up supporting Donald Trump. Moreover, Eric Trump once even shared a photoshopped image of 50 Cent and Ice Cube wearing a Trump hat. However, Ice Cube got furious at the edit, forcing Trump to delete the photo.
