It’s twenty-six days into October which means the spooky season is finally in full swing! And even though the entire year has been one scary movie, Halloween is just too fun to pass up. So to celebrate the spooky season in all its glory, we have the annual roundup of must-watch movies and TV shows.

There are many horror and horror-comedy TV shows and movies on Netflix and other streaming platforms at the moment. So if you are a horror fan, with the blooming horror movie and TV show industry and Halloween right around the corner, there is never a better time to check the list out.

“Must Watch” List For Halloween 2020

  • Evil.

If you are looking for something supernatural, spiritual yet intriguingly confusing, you should try CBS drama “Evil.” It is now available on Netflix as well.

  • Helstrom.

This can be found on Hulu and is the perfect fit for Marvel fans. Like, “Evil,” this is a mix of supernatural and spiritual containing stories of exorcisms, demons, and religious evil.

  • The Haunting of Hill House.

A Netflix horror series that is spooky enough to knock your socks off. It is based on the book by Shirley Jackson and was a popular hit in 2018 when it was released.

  • The Haunting of Bly Manor.

Another one in the series. Since it is not related to the first one, you can give this a watch separately. The same, familiar actors take on different roles for a new tale of horror. It is a nice contrast to the jump scares and exorcisms you usually find on TV.

  • Mr. Mercedes.

For people who like a bit of Stephen King, they can find this drama based on the author’s recent book on Peacock. Although it is more detective mystery than horror, it does have most of Stephen King’s signature thrills.

  • Penny Dreadful: City of Angels.

This spin-off of Showtime’s 2014-2016 gothic horror-fest is anchored around “Game of Thrones” star, Natalie Dormer.

  • Truth Seekers.

Starting streaming from October 30th, this Amazon show is the perfect fit for “Shaun of the Dead” fans. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reunited for their first TV series after SOTD. This is another horror-comedy featuring Frost as a cable guy who is a paranormal hunter in his free time.

  • Twilight Zone.

You can find this Rod Serling classic remake filled with unsettling science fiction.
