Daredevil Actors Want Cross-over With Spiderman
The Daredevil stars Deborah Ann Woll and Vincent D’Onofrio have chosen Spiderman as their dream cross-over in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And we can see why this demand came up. Wilson Fisk-the Daredevil villain was originally the villain in Spiderman. So technically, they exist in the same universe. And frankly, a cross-over will be something very interesting and definitely a lot more fun than regular episodes. But whether or not Marvel will ever consider the possibility of this cross-over is the real question here.
What Vincent D’Onofrio Had to Say
While discussing this, Vincent D’Onofrio was careful to mention the history of Wilson Fisk. And said that fans would kill him if he didn’t say Spidey, and that it would be nice for Spidey to drop by Daredevil. Just then, Woll intervened asking if she could say Spiderman now. She added that,
I mean, I’ll say this: I actually really enjoy [the Avengers] out there fighting aliens and Matt Murdock is defending the crap out of ten blocks of Manhattan. That’s, I think, really exciting that you can do this small level kind of real people stuff. I enjoy our small level scale, and I think these little hints are the fun bits.
Charlie Cox- the titular super-powered vigilante agrees with the idea of this brief cross-over. And said that making it too explicit would lessen the excitement for it.
Kevin Feige- the Marvel Studios chief and master planner previously said that mixing the film and television sides depends totally on the timing. But then again, the Daredevil cast is not asking for a full cross-over. It’s obvious that having a story that fully inculcates Daredevil into the Marvel Cinematic Universe is probably too much effort. Since the movies are already separate from the shows, just some cameos or one cross-over episode would suit everyone.
Maybe, that’s all that the cast wanted when it chose Spiderman for a cross-over.
