‘Endgame’ Director Joe Russo Slams Chris Evans for his OnlyFans Page?
There are no friends when it comes to Fantasy Football. Each and everyone you’re competing against is your enemy and is susceptible to trash talk. And that’s exactly what Joe Russo did in the 6th week of the ABGO Superhero League. Moreover, he may have every reason to do so. He is sick of losing to high-profile actors like Marvel stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and Ryan Reynolds who don’t even “know football,” according to Russo. In his roast, he threw some epic shade at all of them. The most prominent one was at Chris Evans, whom the Avengers: Endgame director went as far as to question how Evans could run an OnlyFans page while playing Fantasy Football. It’s all happening!
Joe Russo owns Chris Evans!
Week after week, Joe Russo tries his absolute best to fan the flames with his competitors to keep the fantasy league interesting week after week. And it’s important that he does. After all, they’re all playing for a charity should their representative manage to win by the end of the year. So, it was no surprise when Joe Russo came out all-guns-blazing against Chris Evans in the trash talk, saying:
Chris Evans, how does that guy have the time to set a roster and run his OnlyFans page?
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Joe Russo made a very specific reference to a blunder Chris Evans did recently. It was a reference to the Chris Evans nudes that the actor accidentally leaked himself on his Instagram account. And it took the internet by a massive storm. I mean, who would want to miss out on Captain America’s little Avenger? After the internet had their fun, Chris Evans addressed the mishap with a sense of humor, tweeting:
How was he so savage?
So, in short, Joe Russo was as cut-throat as he could get. And he had help too, from famous comedian Mekki Leeper in writing his monologues. Russo told EW:
You pick up on people’s eccentricities and their sillier habits, and then you can turn those into humor onset; days are long, the work’s hard, sometimes we’ll be on set 16 hours together, so we use a lot of humor to defuse the tension or exhaustion. My brother [Anthony Russo] and I are very big on keeping the set fun. We came from Community and Arrested Development and when you’re on a set with a bunch of comedians it’s always very light and we took that energy to our work at Marvel.
Both Tom Holland and Ryan Reynolds are leading the table with just a single loss. And it’s ironic, considering none of them are Americans. Other than them, the participants are Evans, Hemsworth, Paul Rudd, Robert Downey Jr., Pom Klemetieff, Russo, Karen Gillan, Matthew Berry, Chris Pratt, Simu Liu, Elizabeth Olson, and Anthony Mackie. Joe Russo further added:
It’s great, it’s part of the fun of it. We’re all so close. It’s a very tight-knit family, a lot of us have worked together for almost a decade. Other people have come into the family like Ryan [Reynolds] and Simu [Liu] and everyone’s so warm and welcoming. This is a good way for everyone to stay connected emotionally and on a personal level, and then we have a lot of fun taking the piss out of each other, We’re doing it to get awareness, so we’re creating content that can go viral [and bring] awareness to charities. That’s the best part of it, it’s like roasting your friends for a good cause.
We hope to see more of such brutal takedowns from Joe Russo. It’s one of the many reasons why we love everyone associated with Marvel. It’s just pure fun!
