Twitter went into a kind of meltdown when Trump advisor Katrina Pierson’s tweeted this news from her personal Twitter account. She wrote, confirming that Ice Cube is working with Trump, saying:

Shoutout to @icecube for his willingness to step up and work with @realDonaldTrump Administration to help develop the #PlatinumPlan

Leaders gonna lead, haters gonna hate. Thank you for leading! (Fist emoji)

Moreover, Pierson also shared the document containing the details of the Platinum Plan, which Ice Cube helped to develop. However, Pierson was not the first person to break the news to the public. In fact, it was Ice Cube himself who did a live video stream on Twitter and told his fans about some of his plans. The 51-year-old said while addressing to the black community:

I just know one of them is gonna win … I don’t know if can really matter to us, we gotta just push whoever’s in there, because ain’t nobody really solved our problems. People say we can’t take another four years of this — black people, s**t, we can take anything.

Furthermore, Ice Cube displayed a bit of skepticism towards the Democrats, saying:

Joe Biden, the Democrats, I believe they owe us. Will they do right by us at the end of the day — who knows?

And sure enough, Ice Cube mentioned that the Republicans have allocated $500 billion to the Platinum Plan, as the document says the plan promises black Americans over the next four years “increase access to capital in black communities by almost $500 billion” among several other benefits.

Outrage on social media

However, most of Cube’s fans are not having it. This is particularly because of Cube’s past stances against Donald Trump and how racism is becoming an increasing problem within the Republican Party. A big example of that is Donald Trump’s own refusal to condemn White Supremacists in the first Presidential debate with Joe Bide.

Moreover, this change in stance by Ice Cube after a series of tweets and social media posts where Ice Cube shared conspiracy theories and Russian Propaganda sites. But, Ice Cube came out and defended his deal with Trump, tweeting recently:

Facts: I put out the CWBA. Both parties contacted me. Dems said we’ll address the CWBA after the election. Trump campaign made some adjustments to their plan after talking to us about the CWBA.
