Pink’s husband shares video of their 9-year-old daughter shooting a gun
For the past few decades, guns and gun laws have been a controversial topic to talk about in the United States. It’s a touchy topic that always manages to gather a lot of attention. And celebrities are often seen to be anti-guns. But, it looks like Pink and her husband Carey Hart have a different approach. Hart recently shared a video of his and Pink’s 9-year-old daughter shooting a gun. And he got backlash from some, while praises from others for posting the video.
The Pink family is really into guns
In his recent Instagram post, Pink’s husband pretty much gloated about the fact that his daughter can handle guns really well at her young age. He wrote in the caption:
“Fun morning shooting with my kids. Willz is getting seriously good with the rifle and handling of a firearm. And Jamo absolutely loves shooting! And the rate that he is processing the handling of them, he makes me proud.”
Moreover, Hart further wrote how he firmly believes that kids should be taught how to use guns and firearms. And if the dad is taking all his kids to a shooting ranch, it’s obvious that they have Pink’s approval for it. The caption further said:
I’m a firm believer in teaching my kids to shoot, but more importantly, handle a firearm. No better sound than the bullet of your kids’ gun plucking a steel target at 30 yards. Have a great weekend, everyone. #IfYouDontLikeItScrollOn #PokeTheBear.
And the comment section of this post was filled with people from all of the political spectrum. Conservatives and gun enthusiasts were praising him, while Liberals and the Left were calling him and Pink out. Some were also calling Hart a hypocrite for letting his kids play with firearms, while he wants Joe Biden as President, who wants stricter gun control laws.
They are voting for Joe Biden, despite his call for strict gun laws
It’s public knowledge that both Pink and her husband are supporting Joe Biden over Donald Trump. And Biden is a lot more strict on gun control compared to Trump, which might seem oxymoronic considering how much the Pinks love guns. However, Hart is actually okay with stricter gun laws, saying once:
I for one think there needs to be stricter gun laws, ‘cause guess what? That won’t affect me because I’m a law-abiding citizen.
Moreover, earlier last year, Hart defended his choice of letting his and Pink’s children learn how to shoot and use firearms. He said that they don’t hunt, but only enjoy shooting as a sport, as he wrote on Instagram:
For the record non [sic] of us hunt, just enjoy shooting for sport. I’m raising the kids with knowledge of fire arms, how to handle them, shoot them, store them, and avoid them in uneducated hands. #knowledgeispower
