Jurassic World: Dominion will not be released next year
Hello readers! Unfortunately, we have another bad news in what already feels like the worst year of the century. The release of Jurassic World 3 (Jurassic World: Dominion) has been delayed by a year. Originally expected to hit the screens on June 11, 2021, the movie would now be released on June 10, 2022. Fans all over the world are understandably disappointed over its delay. Jurassic World: Dominion is the final movie of the Jurassic Park series.
The movie’s director shares the sad news
The director, Colin Trevorrow, shared his dismay over the delay but is hopeful that the project would not disappoint fans.
“For the past three months, I’ve worked with an extraordinary cast and crew on a film we can’t wait to share with the world. Even though we’ll have to wait a bit longer, it will all be worth it. Let’s stay healthy and take care of each other until then”.
The actors are also hopeful about the success of the movie despite the delay. “JUNE 10, 2022. Call it Jurassic World 3 or Jurassic Park 6 — either way, HOLD ONTO YOUR BUTTS”, Bryce Dallas Howard posted on her Instagram page. She said that all the necessary precautions are being taken to ensure that there are no further delays in production.
This delay was because of the pandemic-related changes in the studio’s timings and schedules. Critics are concerned about how the postponement of big movies, like Jurassic World, would affect the studios.
Hollywood is already struggling to stay afloat without any new productions coming forth. However, it is also being anticipated that the delaying the release of Jurassic World might be a deliberate move by Universal studios to avoid competition with a dozen other releases in June 2021. The previous movies of the series have been an immense success, grossing over a billion dollars, so the producers are naturally looking out to make the most out of the third one.
Fans will surely be excited when it finally releases. Jurassic Park never disappoints. Stay tuned for more information.
