We know we speak for all the fans when we say seeing that image surely made us feel a bit nostalgic. In a replica of the iconic gown, actress Emma Corrin is the spitting image of the Princess of Wales, Diana.

Emma shared two pictures on social media and captioned them:
“tick tock tick tock 15.11.20”.
In the second picture, Emma as Diana is seen alongside Josh O’Connor who will play Prince Charles, her on-screen husband. In the fourth season of The Crown, we will see Lady Diana from the ages of 18 to 22.
Speaking to The Times, Emma shared that the public expectation from her role has been “overwhelming since the beginning” because she wants to do Diana “proud”. She said:
“I know that’s strange and cheesy, but I feel like I know her. Drawing on my experience, not that I’ve experienced that kind of self-harm. But mental health in general, it can lead you down a very dark path when you’re struggling to cope, when things feel out of control. Diana very much doesn’t have the love and comfort and attention she needs from the man she loves or the family, who aren’t really acting as a family to her. There is a build-up of emotion she can’t deal with. And making herself sick is a way of taking back control.”
Where The Crown left off in Season 3
In the finale of the third season, we saw a stone-faced Queen Elizabeth in a golden carriage, riding alone through the streets of London as the roar of an ecstatic crowd streamed through the carriage’s walls. With season four ready to unveil itself, the show promises to do more of what it does best. Which is shedding light on the personal battles of the royals from within their public façade.
Season three was wrapped up just a few months before Lady Diana met Prince Charles around June of 1977. Prince Charles met Lady Diana in November of 1977. England’s Rose, Diana, will be the major focus in the fourth season. When Charles and she enter a high-profile relationship due to the manipulations of his relatives.
