The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons talked to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. Upon questioning by Jimmy, Jim revealed that he and his husband, Todd Spiewak, had contracted the deadly disease back in the mid of March. He further shared that at first, they thought it was just a normal cold. When the other symptoms of the virus started showing, they realized that they had been infected by Covid-19. One of the major symptoms was the loss of taste and smell.

Jim Parsons shared their story:

“Yeah, we had it. Tom and I both had it early on, it was like middle of March. We did not know what it was. We thought we had colds. And then, it seemed less likely and then finally we lost our sense of smell and taste. Utterly, and it defies the descriptions. For me I did not realize how completely taste and smell could be gone. And when you are in quarantine and there is really nothing to do but eat. Oh my god, that was brutal.”

Jim Parson’s activities during the quarantine

The actor also revealed how he handled the boring quarantine time. Jim Parsons shared how after he recovered from the virus, he kept himself busy doing a lot of activities at home. But nothing really compared to acting for him:

“I tried other creative outlets because acting, obviously wasn’t happening, and I took a painting class for a while, I took. I took a creative writing class for a while, and everything petered out I don’t know if the truth is, well, you’re just an actor and that’s what you do and that’s what you should do or if it’s just I really don’t have the see-through-stick-to-itiveness for anything.”

How Sheldon Cooper would have reacted to Covid-19?

Jim is renowned for his role as Sheldon Cooper on CBS’ The Big Bang Theory. Last year, the series ended with its final 12th season. Throughout the widespread pandemic period, fans have wondered how extremely germophobic Sheldon Cooper would have dealt with this virus. According to Jim Parsons, Sheldon would have handled the situation just fine as he has been preparing himself for it since forever. Jim said:

“He was built for this. This is the moment he was waiting for. I was saying earlier, he, we had an entire episode which I didn’t think about until recently where he would have like a Shel-bot where he had like a video screen on a remote control wheelie thing. And that was when people still needed to get together in groups and so he would just send that out and sit in his room. Do not touch me do not sneeze on me. And so, I guess, he would be fine.”
