Euphoria’s Cast Congratulates Zendaya on her Emmy win

Zendaya made history by winning her first Emmy award at the age of 24. For her character as Rue in HBO’s courageous high school series Euphoria. No one was seen happier for her win than her co-stars. They took to social media to share their excitement and congratulations on the world. Zendaya is the youngest actress and the second-ever Black actress to receive the award for Outstanding Lead Actress. She made sure to mention the cast and crew of Euphoria, during her thank-you speech. She said:

“I’m so lucky to get to go work with you every day. I’m inspired by everything you do.”

And from their reactions to her win. It is apparent that the cast is just as amazed by the actress. From her rumored ex-Jacob Elordi to her on-screen sister Storm Reid. Everyone is happy for the young star. Music duo Chloe and Halle cried it out and HBO transformed into a fan account. Actress Sarah Paulson was inspired.

Zendaya’s Euphoria castmate slash pal slash maybe-ex-boyfriend, Jacob Elordi congratulated the actress on Instagram. The Kissing Booth actor who plays the character, Nate, a high-strung, devious high school football player, on Euphoria, said:

“Congratulations Captain. @Zendaya Bravo,”

Rue’s onscreen little sister Gia, played by Stormy Reid, was so thrilled for her onscreen big sis. She totally went crazy. When Zendaya was announced as the winner and put up the whole video on Twitter.

Rue’s BFF and love interest Jules, played by Hunter Schafer also posted a clip of herself praising Zendaya’s victory to Instagram Stories. As soon as Zendaya’s name was announced as the winner, Hunter immediately started squealing with happiness.

HBO became a fan

HBO, Euphoria’s home channel, simply tweeted:

Other celebrities, including Kerry Washington, Reese Witherspoon, Laura Linney, and Kehlani also joined in applauding Zendaya for her big win.

Zendaya herself, took a moment to be grateful to the cast and crew. During her emotional acceptance speech, she expressed:

“To the incredible cast and crew of Euphoria. I’m so lucky to go to work with you every day and I’m inspired by everything you do. I know this feels like a really weird time to be celebrating. But I just want to say there is hope in the young people out there. I know that our TV show does not always feel like a great example of that. But there is hope in the young people. And I just want to say to all my peers doing the work in the streets. I see you and I admire you, and I thank you. Whoa, OK, thank you!”
