Shocking claims were made today by Vanessa Bryant’s mother regarding her daughter. Vanessa’s mother Sofia Laine, claims that her daughter forced her out of her home and made her give her back to her. Vanessa Bryant addressed all of these claims and shared her side of the story.
Vanessa Bryant denies the claims made by mother
Kobe Bryant’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, gets vulnerable in a long note addressing her mother’s claims:
My husband and daughter passed away unexpectedly, and yet my mother had the audacity to do a television interview speaking negatively of me while shedding tears for a car and a house that were not in her name. She has removed all her diamond jewellery, emptied the apartment I provided, and put away the furniture to make it look like she doesn’t have my support.
Vanessa Bryant shares that she and her late husband Kobe Bryant have been supporting her financially for years now and still do:
My husband and I have supported her financially for the past 20 years, and continue to do so, in addition to her monthly alimony.
Vanessa shares that Sofia has never been a good mother to her
Along with addressing the false claims made by her mother, Vanessa Bryant also shares her own personal experiences:
Sofia has not been physically present or emotionally supportive’ of her and her daughters Natalia, 17, Bianka, three, and Capri, one, since Kobe and Gigi’s deaths. Now I see what is most important to my mother and it’s more than painful. I hope that everything that is coming out about our personal relationship ends here.
Vanessa shares that Sofia has not been there to provide any sort of emotional support to her especially at a time when she needed it the most. Vanessa’s husband Kobe Bryant and their 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant passed away this year in an unexpected plane crash.
Though, many are still supporting Vanessa Bryant during this difficult time. Bryant’s close friend La La Anthony was in awe of Vanessa last month as she shared that she’s “strongest woman I know”.
“To see her smile and laugh to me is the greatest feeling. You know, to just have those moments whether they’re quick moments or not, you know, for her to be able to have that, so, I’ll continue to bring the fun and the laughter.”
