After helping Jimmy host, she rushed off to her home just in time for hearing the winner for her category in which she was nominated in. Although she lost the award to fellow star, Zendaya, she still had her “I’ll be there for you” moment with her friends. She also stole the show for giving us all a mini Friends reunion.
The sudden reunion
After a few hours of Jennifer rushing to her home, Jimmy checked up on her. Only to find her in her PJs with her beloved friends Courtney and Lisa. For a little while, it seemed as if Jimmy might have done what HBO Max could not. He brought half of the Friends cast together at the same time, even in the pandemic. The girls had us all giggling as Jennifer joked that she was “roommates with Courtney since 1994”. Lisa Kudrow, also known for her role as Phoebe Buffay, slid into shot, seemingly oblivious that she was on live TV. Courtney who was Jennifer Aniston’s Best Friend Forever and roomie in the popular sitcom ‘Friends’. She said during the video call:
“We live together.”
When Jimmy Kimmel asked the trio, “You do?” Jennifer Aniston answered,
“We’ve been roommates since 1994, Jimmy.”
Jason Bateman, then randomly popped up behind the girls. Jimmy joked and said:
“I didn’t know Ross was there too.”
To which Jennifer teased that Jason was staying with her until he went off to college.
The Friends reunion show
Watching Jennifer, Lisa and Courtney together onscreen has surely made all the fans more excited for the upcoming Friends reunion show. The show was scheduled to take place on HBO max back in May but was forced to push back due to the pandemic. It seems that the fans will have to wait a while for the show since it requires a live audience. Which is restricted in the current situation.
