Celebrities are actively taking part in political discussions these days. And Chris Rock is no different. The comedian/actor recently lambasted the democrats, especially Nancy Pelosi, on how they handled the Coronavirus pandemic, questioning how they let the virus come in while they were busy impeaching Donald Trump. But, Chris did not have any kind words for Trump either.

Chris Rock is not a fan of the Democrats as well as Donald Trump

He compared Trump to a 5-year-old and said that Pelosi and the Democrats should have been more focused on the pandemic. In an interview with The New York Times, Chris Rock said:

“It was totally up to Pelosi and the Democrats. Their thing was, ‘We’re going to get him impeached,’ which was never going to happen. You let the pandemic come in. Yes, we can blame Trump, but he’s really the 5-year-old.”

Chris Rock specifically mentioned that Trump was behaving like the main character in “The Last Emperor,” who was a child that became the emperor of China. He said:

“Did you ever see that movie “The Last Emperor,” where like a 5-year-old is the emperor of China? There’s a kid and he’s the king. So I’m like, it’s all the Democrats’ fault. Because you knew that the emperor was 5 years old. And when the emperor’s 5 years old, they only lead in theory. There’s usually an adult who’s like, ‘OK, this is what we’re really going to do.’”

About Jimmy Fallon’s blackface

Other than politics, Chris Rock also addressed the blackface controversy of Jimmy Fallon, who was his co-star on “Saturday Night Live”, saying:

“Hey, man, I’m friends with Jimmy. Jimmy’s a great guy. And he didn’t mean anything. A lot of people want to say intention doesn’t matter, but it does. And I don’t think Jimmy Fallon intended to hurt me. And he didn’t.”

Chris Rock is now set to appear in the fourth season of “Fargo” as a mobster from the 1950s. However, season 4 doesn’t really gel well according to Variety. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
