Fans Want Gina Carano Fired From ‘The Mandalorian’ For “Mocking Trans People”
The actress is facing a lot of backlash on Twitter.
Fans of ‘The Mandalorian’ are furious at the show’s star Gina Carano! They’re demanding that Disney should fire her for “mocking trans people” after a Twitter feud. The feud began when Carano, instead of putting the pronouns “she/her” in her bio on her Twitter account, she put “boop/bob/beep”.
The actress plays the role of Cara Dune on the Disney+ original, but fans are somewhat done with her. It all began when fans asked Carano whether she would put “she/her” in her bio to show solidarity with the trans community. This is commonly done by trans and non-binary people to not be misgendered. But, cis-people usually also add their own relevant pronouns to their bio to express solidarity with the trans community. And so, a fan asked Gina Carano if why she doesn’t have the pronouns in her bio when her co-star Pedro Pascal does? To that, Carano replied:
“Yes, Pedro & I spoke & he helped me understand why people were putting them in their bios.”
But, Gina Carano refused to put it in her bio. And said that she stands against bullying, saying:
“I won’t be putting them in my bio but good for all you who choose to. I stand against bullying, especially the most vulnerable & freedom to choose.”
Yes, Pedro & I spoke & he helped me understand why people were putting them in their bios. I didn’t know before but I do now. I won’t be putting them in my bio but good for all you who choose to. I stand against bullying, especially the most vulnerable & freedom to choose. 💯

Gina Carano stands firm that she is not mocking trans people
Later on, Gina Carano said that she is not mocking trans people, tweeting that she:
“decided to put 3 VERY controversial words in my bio.. beep/bop/boop. I’m not against trans lives at all. They need to find less abusive representation.”
They’re mad cuz I won’t put pronouns in my bio to show my support for trans lives.
After months of harassing me in every way. I decided to put 3 VERY controversial words in my bio.. beep/bop/boop
I’m not against trans lives at all. They need to find less abusive representation.

Another fan highlighted that someone could see her new bio as if she was “mocking” trans people. However, Carano said in return:
“I don’t think trans people would like all of you trying to force a woman to put something in her bio through harassment & name calling EVERYDAY for MONTHS. Such as ‘Racist Transphobe’ ‘B*tch’ ‘Weirdo’ ‘I hope you die’ ‘I hope you lose your career’ ‘your fat, you’re ugly’.”

Later on Gina Carano also tweeted that:
“Beep/bop/boop has zero to do with mocking trans people & 100% to do with exposing the bullying mentality of the mob that has taken over the voices of many genuine causes.”
Beep/bop/boop has zero to do with mocking trans people 🤍& 💯 to do with exposing the bullying mentality of the mob that has taken over the voices of many genuine causes.

Fans want her fired from ‘The Mandalorian’
After this tweet, a lot of Twitter users were outraged at Gina Carano. Many were claiming that cis-gendered people have no right to decide what is and isn’t a mockery of the trans people. Some also said that it shouldn’t be hard to add “she/her” in your bio in support of trans people.
Cis people do not get to determine what is and isn't harmful to trans people and many trans people have said any sort of pronoun mocking/jokes from cis people, no matter the intent, causes harm.

If you want to go after bullies, fine. But your little comeback does nothing to hurt them and only hurts vulnerable people.
Seriously, how hard is it to put she/her in your bio? Why stomp your feet like a toddler who didn't get their ice cream?

One fan also theorized that Disney will kill off Cara Dune in season 2 since all of her scenes have already been shot. Whether this will be true or not, we’ll find out after season 2 airs on October the 30th!
The Gina Carano is trash saga continues. I seriously hope disney fires her from the mandalorian and replaces her with a new trans character.
To add: I imagine she'll live throughout season 2. So they should just kill Cara Dune off between S2 and S3 to avoid her coming… pic.twitter.com/yaXa1GTjRC
