This ‘Friends’ Co-Star Had A Massive Crush On Jennifer Aniston!
Let’s face it – everyone at some point in their life has had a crush on Jennifer Aniston. And it’s no surprise, considering how beautiful she is. But, while the actress was working on the hit sitcom Friends’, one of her co-stars also developed a crush on her! But, it’s not who you expect and the answer may surprise you – it’s Cole Sprouse!
After airing first in 1994, Friends became a cultural icon. Despite many critics saying that it wasn’t as good as it seems or not as funny as many believe, its impact on pop culture is unmatched. Furthermore, it gave us amazing actors in David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, Courtney Cox, and most importantly, Jennifer Aniston. Her name is arguably the first one that comes up into any fan’s mind when they think of the sitcom.
Initially, Aniston auditioned for the role of Monica Geller. However, she refused that role and instead auditioned for Rachel Green. And as she landed that role, she won the hearts of millions, if not billions around the world. But, it looks like one of the people whose heart she won was a part of the show as well!
Cole Sprouse admits he “fell in love” with Jennifer Aniston on set
Cole Sprouse burst onto the scene after his hit role with his twin brother Dylan Sprouse in their show on the Disney Channel in 2005 called The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. However, Cole actually made another appearance on television before The Suite Life. And it was on Friends!
In 2000, Cole Spouse appeared on Friends as Ben Geller, Ross’ son. He was very young at the time and only appeared on the show for seven episodes. And it is there where he encountered Jennifer Aniston. Sprouse has said on multiple occasions that he was smitten by Aniston, so much so that he would forget his lines. While talking to Today, he said:
“I’m pretty sure I fell in love with Jennifer Aniston, which the whole world had at that point. But I do remember being quite intimidated around her, because of that. I remember blanking on my lines, and having a kind of stage fright when she sat next to me on the couch in one episode. And I remember there was a camera man who was like, ‘Little boy’s got a crush,’ or I forget what they said. Of course, I turned bright red. But I do remember feeling like I fell in love.”
He again told The New York Post the same thing, saying:
“I had a really, really hard time working with Aniston because I was so in love with her. I was infatuated, I was speechless — I’d get all bubbly and forget my lines and completely blank. It was so difficult.”
It’s really cute to see baby Sprouse have a crush on the beautiful Jennifer Aniston. But then again, who doesn’t?
