Rick and Morty Season 4 Release Date Revealed?
It was October 2017, the last time we had the dynamic duo Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith on our screens. The wait for the animated series’ next innings continues as the hiatus bars a year. Though, Adult Swim had ordered 70 episodes for future; there has been no indication as of when will Season 4 air. The network has so far aired an anime like video teaser. It stars the titular characters mimicking Marvel superheroes. Fans have been eagerly waiting for a Rick and Morty Season 4. And, it appears that the network will broadcast an indication soon.
Plot For Season 4
Season 3 culminated in a rather baffling note. It is highly probable that Season 4 will draw the cliffhangers to sound conclusions. Jerry and Beth will hopefully not go for a divorce; hence the story will further the family’s misadventures. The upcoming season will also dawn upon if Beth’s clone really exists or not. While fans are hoping for the Evil genius Rick to meet his fate, it is highly unlikely to happen. The upcoming season will be richer than ever in terms of quality content. Show-runners Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon have also cited the same.
When? This is literally a annoying aspect. Fans cannot wait for their favorite ‘Rick and Morty’ to hit their TV screens soon. But it appears that they would have to wait a bit longer. According to the show’s writer, Ryan Ridley, the fourth season will not arrive any sooner than late 2019. This comes in drastic contrast to speculations about the show’s early airing. Mr. Poppybutthole stated in the ending credits of season 3 that the show will not be back in “really long time,”. He also added, “I might even have a big, white Santa Claus beard!”
Ryan Ridley, a voice actor, and writer on Rick and Morty additionally confirmed the same.
They really take their time. I never understood why everybody didn’t get their s**t together and make the show fast. It doesn’t make any sense to me but I’m sure they all have their reasons.
New York Comic Con
At the convention, Adult Swim released a blooper footage behind the making of episode ‘Pickle Rick’. Rick and Morty’s last season also owns an Emmy for the same episode. Moreover, there was also a video that showcased Jeffery Thompson directing the drawing of the characters. There was a moment where Thomspon had to alter the characters for being too ‘normal’.
Perhaps we have to a wait bit longer for the season 4 of Rick and Morty to come into our lives, but we still have Bojack Horseman’s new season to speculate on. Bojack Horseman is a show similar to this one, with their realistic view on life and over the top humor. So meanwhile, we can ask ourselves the question: Rick Sanchez Vs. Bojack Horseman: Which antihero is better?
And we just got a new teaser trailer for it!
