Anthony Rapp Is Suing Kevin Spacey For Sexual Misconduct!
The lawsuit on the Spacey is on accusations of sexual assault and battery back in the 80s on Rapp.
Disgraced actor Kevin Spacey has been accused of sexual misconduct in a civil lawsuit. Actor Anthony Rapp filed the lawsuit against Spacey, accusing him of sexual assault and battery in the 80s when he was 14 years old. Moreover, there’s a second unnamed plaintiff, who was of the same age at the time.
Anthony Rapp, best known for his work in the Broadway musical “Rent,” filed the lawsuit in New York state court in Manhattan against the 61-year-old. Furthermore, the suit refers to the same incident of sexual misconduct that Rapp opened up about back in 2017 during a Buzzfeed interview.
The result of that interview was Kevin Spacey’s fall from grace in Hollywood. Most of the studios severed their ties with him, including Netflix’s “House of Cards,” who killed off his lead character, Frank Underwood. TriStar Pictures also replaced Spacey with Christopher Plummer from “All the Money in the World”. Rapp’s accusations came in light of the #MeToo movement, which exploded into the scene back in 2017.
After the accusations surfaced, Spacey did not remember the incident with Rapp. Instead, he said:
“If I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior.”
Furthermore, Kevin Spacey came out as a gay man in the same statement.

Details about the lawsuit against Kevin Spacey
The lawsuit by Anthony Rapp alleged that Kevin Spacey “engaged in an unwanted sexual advance” when Rapp was 14. This happened at a party in Spacey’s home back in 1986.
The second plaintiff alleged that he and Kevin Spacey engaged in oral and anal sexual acts on several occasions in the 80s. At the time, this unknown plaintiff was also 14 years old. Both of them are seeking damages for emotional distress caused by sexual misconduct, the value of which is still unknown.
According to their lawyer, Peter J. Saghir, Rapp and the unknown plaintiff filed their lawsuit under New York’s 2019 Child Victims Act. This act gives victims the power to sue over sexual abuse allegations, regardless of when they occurred. Saghir said:
“This lawsuit sends a strong message that no matter how wealthy, powerful or famous you may be you are not above the law.”
Even though Spacey was a two-time Academy Award winner for his performance in “American Beauty” and “The Usual Suspects”, along with an Emmy Award for “House of Cards”, he was ostracized by the Hollywood fraternity. Ever since, he has lived a quiet life, away from the public eye. That was until he posted a House of Cards based Christmas video that seemed extremely bizarre and creepy to viewers.
