I guess it’s safe to say that 2020 is getting a little better. MTV VMAs have once again given us a reason to add a little shine to our quarantine routine. Our favorite singer ‘Doja Cat’ got famous through her songs “Like That” and “Say So” on TikTok. Not just that, she also got recognized in the whole world by these songs, And the gorgeous singer ‘Doja Cat’ made her first-ever debut iconic while performing on ‘Say so’ and ‘Like That’ at MTV VMAs 2020.
Doja Cat’s Iconic Debut Performance At MTV VMAs 2020
Doja’s iconic MTV VMAs 2020 performance started with her pretending to be a news anchor and shedding some light on the planet ‘her’.
“Hi, this is ‘Something Quirkier’ from MTV News. Performing live on Planet ‘Her’ is Doja Cat. Enjoy.”
Okay, so whoever designed Doja Cat’s dress for the VMAs, deserves an Oscar. I was baffled for a good two minutes by looking at the shining semi-n*de super pigmented bodysuit. I mean the bodysuit literally stole the show. You won’t even notice Doja’s singing or dancing and the background dancers who are following the COVID-19 SOPs in full swing.
I guess we might be seeing Doja Cat headlining the next Super Bowl. And let’s not forget the super talented TikTok star ‘Haley Sharpe’, who danced on Doja’s ‘Say So’. And came up with some crazy dance moves on ‘Say So’. That’s how the whole challenge started.
Doja’s MTV VMAs Nominations And Award
Doja not only debuted at the VMAs 2020. But she also nominated in four different categories, Best Direction, Song of the Summer, Song of the Year, and Push Best New Artist.
Machine Gun Kelly announced Doja’s award in the ‘Push Best New Artist’ category.
“You voted over 39 million times, DAMN. And we are about to announce your Push Best New Artist for 2020. And the VMA goes to ‘Doja Cat’. “
Doja Cat thanked her team members for putting so much faith and effort into her work in a very emotional speech.
“I am just gonna get down to it. I wanna thank everybody.”
The singer got pretty humble with this line:
“I wouldn’t have this in my hand and without the people who helped me today.”
The ‘Say So’ singer further added to her speech that ‘she probably missed one of the biggest thankyous’.
“I just want to say thank you to my fans. Me on social media is one thing, I would joke and meme all day. But when I stand here right now and tell you that I am so thankful to have you as supporters. I love you and thank you. Stay safe. And thanks, mom.”
Well, that’s it for today guys. Stay safe and spread positivity.
