It was a great week for The Kissing Booth fans! They got to see The Kissing Booth 2 where new characters were introduced. And they also got the great announcement that a third movie is also coming in 2021. In a special live session for the fans, actors Joey King, Joel Courtney, Meganne Young, Taylor Zakhar Perez, Maisie Richardson-Sellers came together to announce the news.
The Kissing Booth 3 was filmed alongside the second movie
It might be confusing to understand how the cast and crew pulled that off, but it looks like they did! That’s because The Kissing Booth is just a few months away and will come in 2021. We don’t have an exact month and date yet but it doesn’t seem like we will have to wait for long. Elle and her gang of friends are going to reprise our Netflix screens sooner than you think.
There’s even a teaser for the upcoming movie:
We see Elle Evans (Joey Kind) hanging out with her beau Noah Flynn (Jacob Elrodi) in the Flynns’ huge mansion. Accompanying them is Elle’s best friend and Noah’s brother, Lee (Joel Courtney). And there is also Lee’s girlfriend Rachel (Meganne Young). We did not see the new characters in this sneak peek namely Marco (Taylor Zakhar Perez) and Chloe (Maisie Richardson-Sellers).
But since Taylor and Maisie were present at the time of the announcement of The Kissing Booth 3 on Netflix’s #TKBFanFest live stream, we can expect them to be there!
After all, their characters are going to be a major plot point.
What could happen in the third movie?
We’re all wondering what happens with Elle Evans. Is she going to go to Harvard to be closer to Noah or go to Berkley to stay close to Lee? If she does go to Berkley, it could also mean her relationship with Noah may end. Elle might even end up with Marco! And what about Chloe? Maisie Richardson-Sellers definitely has a strong screen presence and in The Kissing Booth 2, we got some hints that she had feelings for Noah. Will she end up doing something about that?
And what will happen to Lee and Elle’s friendship following all these changes! We’ll have to wait until 2021 to get the answers to all these questions.
