Liam Payne Talks One Direction Anniversary – Says Reunion to come ‘eventually’
As Directioners around the world celebrate One Direction Day, there is a lot of hype going on. Since the start of 2020, it was said to be the year the band gets back together. Over the last few months, Liam Payne of One Direction has said time and time again that their anniversary is coming up and the boys are talking a reunion then. And as the day has arrived, fans are eagerly waiting for what is to come. However, it seems that we may be disappointed once more as the reunion is not coming today. In the morning, Liam shared his text message to his dad telling him he was in a band. The post is the generic appreciation fans see on their social media every year.
What a journey… I had no idea what we were in for when I sent this text to my Dad ten years ago at this exact time the band was formed. Thanks to everyone that’s supported us over the years and thanks to the boys for sharing this with me #10YearsOfOneDirection pic.twitter.com/0d17ggB66x

After this Liam went on the Spin South West Radio, connecting with them in honor of the One Direction Day.
Liam Payne says One Direction Reunion not happening now – will happen eventually.
During the Interview on Fully Charged with Ed and Valerie, Liam Payne talks about the One Direction Reunion. Valerie asks him,
You’re doing absolutely amazing on your own with all your new singles and the music that you’ve released. But, is there ever any, any any way that you’re gonna get back together as One Direction? Is it gonna happen?
To this, he responds,
Um… I think it will happen eventually. I mean, for some of them I do not really know where their heads are at with it. So, we’re kind of at the point where we’re giving everybody their space and letting them do their own thing.
But… what happened to the group discussions and Louis wanting it to be so special he’d Egg Liam’s house if he spilled any more details. Liam Payne and his talk of the ‘eventual’ One Direction Reunion, was utterly heartbreaking. Although, he goes on to give what really sounds like half-hearted hope.
And then maybe if we come to the conlusion that it is a thing then, as I’ve said before, I’m all for it. So, um yea…
So… that happened.
