Chrissy Teigen had to delete 60,000 Tweets for safety of her family
Chrissy Teigen is a beloved media personality. One of the reasons for that is her interesting and often entertaining tweets. But she’s had her fair share of online trolls mocking her and what she says. Online trolls also spread baseless rumors. This time though, it has made Chrissy Teigen very cautious. So much so that she’s had to delete about 60, 000 tweets because she fears for her family’s safety.

Chrissy Teigen’s name was linked with Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein by online trolls
The model shared her frustrations of being baselessly linked with known criminal Jeffrey Epstein. This occurred when people online started to tie her with Epstein as well as Ghislaine Maxwell. All this was deduced from the unproven claims that her name is on the list of Jeffrey Epstein’s private Jet flight log. A Twitter user said to Chrissy Teigen:
You’re on the flight log. #GislaineMaxwell #EpsteinIsland.
This immediately got a response from Chrissy Teigen who said:
if we wanna play with your lie just for fun, do you understand that if I were on the flight for the date of this ‘manifest’, I’d be a victim.
In another tweet, Chrissy shares her thoughts on people coming up with baseless rumors
“People still wasting time believing a 4chan flight manifest, I see. These people are so sick (and actually stupid) but mostly sick. And mostly stupid. I can’t bother to care anymore.”
There is no official link that Chrissy Teigen shares with Jeffrey Epstein or Ghislaine Maxwell. Nor has anyone officially accused her of having any allegations.
But all the same, she was afraid for her family’s safety and ended up deleting 60,000 of her tweets. She thought people would somehow make up a connection of her tweets to Epstein and Maxwell:
I’m worried for my family. Finding me talking about toddlers and tiaras in 2013 and thinking you’re some sort of f–king operative.
Moreover, it’s not just her name that the internet believes was there. There was also Tom Hanks. However, it must be noted that these are just online conspiracy theories and nothing is proven. Plus, Reuters debunked the rumor that her name was on the flight log. Reuters fact checked through all of the flight logs and did not find Tom Hanks name on it.
The incident is similar to what happened to her and John in 2018
In 2018, Chrissy and her husband John Legend were facing a similar scandal. A journalist Liz Crokin alleged that John and Chrissy were involved in a s*x-trafficking ring. Not only that but she also stated that their daughter Luna was a part of it. Liz Crokin wrote this on Twitter and then, later on, deleted her tweets. This was part of a bigger rumor that claimed there was a child s*x ring in Washington DC which people now know as Pizzagate. The rumor has now been debunked.
When it happened, Chrissy Teigen shared:
Alright. I debated saying something about this but I’m pretty disturbed over here. The fact that there are people with these…thoughts…is really scary.
Chrissy and John threatened to sue over this. However, Liz Crokin stated to The L.A. Times that:
“I never accused John and Chrissy of trafficking their chil [sic]. That’s a flat out lie and my Twitter history proves it.”
But it must be noted that she did end up deleting many of her tweets. This goes to show that you can’t believe anything you see on Twitter.
