Is Quarantine making you lose your mind? Well, high five. It’s making everyone a bit crazy. But Thank God for celebrities who take it upon themselves to entertain us through a global pandemic. Can anyone imagine a pandemic without social media and the celebrities shenanigans? Not me, and I’m glad I don’t have to! Jason Reitman recently did a fan version of ‘The Princess Bride’. And now, Sam Smith has done a cover of Coldplay’s Fix You. Yes, that phase of Coldplay that had the most soul-crushing songs that you had on repeat.

Now, you’ll be playing Sam Smith’s version of Fix You on repeat

If you haven’t already, listen to Sam Smith’s voice giving Coldplay’s Fix you a new twist. With Coldplay’s perfect lyrics and Sam’s beautiful voice and style, you can’t help but fall in love with it.

Check it out here:

Sam Smith actually did this cover a while back. For the iHeartRadio Living Room Concert Series, Sam and his team played this beautiful cover live in May.

When he did that cover, he said the following of how quarantine was getting to him. So, in order to cope, he fell in love with singing again:

The last few weeks [and] the last few months have been so mad for everyone, and I’ve just been at home, and really, weirdly, falling in love with singing again.

Sam Smith shares that while singing all kinds of songs of other artists, he fell in love with this particular song: Coldplay’s Fix You:

As soon as I heard it, I was just reminded, again, of how much of a classic it is. I’ve never actually seen Chris Martin perform this Live, but I really want to, because I’ve fallen in love with this song after singing it.

Well, Sam Smith, you aren’t the only one. There there are those like me who have fallen in love with both the original version and Sam’s.
