The Star Wars spin-off show, The Mandalorian, really brought an outrage from the fans when the cameo star Jason Sudeikis punched Baby Yoda. The Child is truly the most fan-favorite character in the series and everyone is looking hopeful to what will go down in order to find his true home. The engaging storyline really spiked when baby Yoda was captured by the Imperial troops for the second time and one of them punched him hard.
Jason Sudeikis Talks About The Mandalorian
Officially named The Child, we all love baby Yoda. So, when Jason Sudeikis’ bike scout trooper character punched him while he was inside a bad, it did not fare well with the fans. However the monumental that moment was, for Sudeikis, it was barely anything. While speaking to the guys at Uproxx, he revealed that although he likes Star Wars, he never remembered that scene.
“Nope. Forgot. Didn’t even… because it didn’t show who he was before and it was just this one-off neat thing where you get to dress up like a scout trooper, not a Stormtrooper just so you know. [Laughs] I think its a scout trooper, it’s not a Stormtrooper. Anyway so they premiered on a Friday or a Saturday, whatever it was, I know it was the weekend because Otis [Sudeikis’ son] and I were playing video games and Olivia [Wilde, Sudeikis’ partner] came into the room and goes, ‘Hey, you’re trending on Twitter'”
He continued that although he found it interesting he was shocked that he would trend on social media. He jokingly blamed his last name being too hard for people to spell. When he asked his children why was he trending, that’s when they told him that he punched baby Yoda. He admitted that he had completely forgotten about it. He ended with:
“It was very surreal and I started getting texts from friends going, “You bastard” and people saying like, “Did you really get to wear the suit or was that just your voice?” All those funny questions. And Liv is active on social media so I knew she was catching some guff on my behalf.”
