Former America’s Got Talent judge, Gabriell Union has much to say about the show as she continues her fight against racism that she faced there. This time, aiming her guns at Simon Cowell, who is also a judge there, she tells that he thinks that rules don’t apply to him. Union filed a complaint against AGT’s host network NBC and Cowell’s production company over racism and sexism. Because of the allegations, she and Julliane Hough left the talent show. On the other hand, NBC recently released a statement saying that their private investigators found no evidence of any sort of racism against the judge.

Gabrielle Union Couldn’t Understand Simon Cowell’s Behaviour

Gabrielle Union doesn’t look like she wants to get rid of the tortures that America’s Got Talent allegedly inflicted on her at the backstage. She claimes that the TV mogul Simon Cowell has a belief that those rules don’t apply to him. She was speaking to Trevor Noah on The Daily Show where she told him this:

“Day one, Simon Cowell is smoking cigarettes inside. I’ve worked a long time. I’ve worked with all kinds of people. I’ve never experienced that. When your boss – the person who has the ability to determine who gets opportunities and who doesn’t – doesn’t believe that the rules apply to him.”

Gabrielle Union claimed the Cowell smokes inside the officer in full view of NBC, Freemantle, and Syco and no one cares about it. She found it extremely odd that Cowell was exposing all of the employees to second-hand smoke. Moreover, to her, it was just the first day of her work.

Gabrielle Union has currently filed a complaint of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation in California’s Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH). She has named Freemantle Media and Syco along with NBC Universal and Simon Cowell himself.
