Earlier this year, the basketball player, Kobe Bryant along with his daughter, Gianna, died in a helicopter crash. Since then, the mother and wife of the deceased have opened up about her grief. However, Vanessa Bryant recently had to block fan pages of Gianna and Kobe.

When the news of Kobe Bryant’s death came out, it shocked the world.

Although Kobe Bryant had retired in 2016, his successes are still remembered by the basketball fanatics. Throughout his career, he played for LA Lakers and is considered one of the best players in the history of the game. Five-time NBA champion had started coaching young, aspiring basketball players as well as his daughter, Gianna aka  Gigi. On January 26th, when Kobe Bryant, Gianna, and seven other people were on the helicopter, it crashed. They were meant to go to Thousand Oaks for a basketball game. However, due to heavy fog in California, the helicopter crashed and all passengers died. Kobe left behind his wife, Vanessa Bryant, and three other daughters.

Recently, Vanessa Bryant blocked the fan pages of Kobe and Gianna.

Since Vanessa Bryant lost her husband and 13-year-old daughter, she has made her social media accounts private. This is her way of dealing with her grief. A few days ago, Vanessa Bryant posted an Instagram post which said:

“[Natalia] and I have unfortunately had to block fan pages because it’s been really hard to go online and constantly see pics of our beloved Gigi and Kobe under every single square of our Explore page. Blocking the fan pages has changed the algorithm. We [love] you all but please understand that we had to do this for our own healing, not because we don’t appreciate your love.”

After losing her loved one, Vanessa Bryant has been keeping their memory alive by speaking up about racial injustice and working on Kobe’s unreleased young adult novel, Geese Are Never Swans.
