Recently This is Us writer, Jas Waters passed away. The news of her death shocked and devastated her friends and family. Now, the police has revealed the cause of her death.

Apart from being a This is Us writer, she has been a part of many TV shows.

After graduating from Columbia College Chicago, Jas Waters began her career as a journalist. She started writing a digital column in Vibe Vixen, a magazine for women, in early 2010s. Being a journalist in hip hop industry, Jas Waters emphasized and advocated the importance of black writers in TV and film. She wrote 18 episode for the infamous TV show, This is US. Apart from being This is US writer, she also wrote TV shows like The Breaks and Kidding. Recently, the news came out that This is Us writer has passed away.

Few days after Jas Waters’ death, the cause of death has been revealed.

When the news of Jas Waters’ death came out, everyone expressed their shock. NBC shared a tweet which read:

“The entire #ThisIsUs family was devastated to learn of Jas Waters passing. In our time together, Jas left her mark on us and ALL over the show. She was a brilliant storyteller and a force of nature. We send our deepest sympathies to her loved ones. She was one of us. RIP @JasFly.”

On the other hand, This is Us creator, Dan Fogelman tweeted:

“This news took my breath away. Jas was absolutely brilliant and had so many stories still to tell. She made an indelible mark on our show and my heart breaks for her loved ones. RIP @JasFly.”

Now the cause of death of This is Us writer has been revealed. According to the Los Angeles County Coroner, This is Us writer committed suicide and hanged herself. This devastating news will surely be painful for her family and loved ones.
