Aunt Becky is probably one of the more iconic characters in Full House. She was the three girl’s rock as she was the only female figure in their lives. The entire family is so involved together that it is weird to see the Tanner family home without any of its members. While we already had a hard time dealing with no Michelle Tanner (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) in the series finale, now there’s no Aunt Becky! Lori Loughlin, while an active part til Season 5 Part A, in the recent release of Fuller House Season 5 Part B, is nowhere to see. This sudden disappearance has left fans baffled and sad. We all love Rebecca Donaldson Katsopolis! So, here is the reason why Rebecca is not in Season 5 final part. And also why she missed our three favorite girls’ weddings.
Netflix canceled Lori Loughlin’s Fuller House contract after the College Admissions scandal!
Recently, actress Lori Loughlin from Fuller House was involved in the College Admissions scandal. When the court took the case into account, Netflix canceled her contract. So, Lori Loughlin was no longer a part of the Season 5 shooting. Sad, really. But, what can we say! However, it is notable that after months of trial, Lori and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli plead guilty via Zoom. So, as it turns out, she was not as innocent at all.
So, in the final nine episodes of Fuller House, here is how writers explain the absence of Lori Loughlin. In season 5 episode 15, someone bites Aunt Becky and Uncle Jesse’s (John Stamos) adoptive daughter Pamela. In his revenge scheme, he plans to find who’s bite mark it is. However, DJ (Candace Bure) asks him if he should be doing that before consulting aunt Becky. To this, he responds,
Aunt Becky is in Nebraska, helping out her mother. I don’t want to bother her with such a tiny little thing like this.
Well, the tiny thing does not turn out to be so tiny as Pamela is biting herself. However, there is the loophole that Lori Loughlin’s Fuller character aunt Becky, would not miss two of her family members’ wedding. However, we cannot say much as the two brides’ own sister did not show up.
