The Witcher To Have A Sad Ending To Geralt And Yennefer

0 307

The Witcher might be an action-packed adventure, but there is also much more going on. Geralt of Rivia and Yennefer is sparking up love chemistry as the Henry Cavill character continues to battle demons and monsters. In other words, the Netflix show seems to be trying to build a story that the fans can debate upon regarding “will it happen, or not”. This is present in the couple’s love and what is to become of them ahead in the series. However, the showrunner Lauren Schmidt has hinted that there is not much to them in the storyline up ahead.

The Witcher Series Believe Geralt Is A Bachelor

Schmidt hints that the ‘Happily Ever After’ that we are looking for in Geralt and Yennefer’s story is probably not going to happen. For him, it is all because of how the two have longer lives than usual and have basically become used to each other’s sexual-flirting behavior. Here is what The Witcher creator had to say about the two:

“Time is a very different thing for [them], so [they’re] not going to go get married and settle down and have kids. They have short bursts of either sexual relationships or… flirtations that they may sort of come back and visit that person, but by the time they come back, that person could be dead. What I like to imagine is that Yennefer and Geralt are both used to doing it one way; they’re both sort of perpetual bachelors.”

Schmidt even called the possibility unrealistic later on. He explains that Geralt and Yennefer are like a pinball for each other. The Witcher series, while they can come together in some occasions, they always tend to go their separate ways after that. The two are not going to settle down and become farmers or sheepherders. This is not what they have done, and they will certainly not start now.
