The Royal Family Talks About Megxit
It has been six months since Megxit happened. Since then, nothing has been the same. While Harry and Meghan has moved to US, Royal family members are finally opening up about their historic decision.
Later this year, Harry and Meghan’s book will reveal many secrets.
At the time of Megxit, Prince Harry and Meghan decided to move out of Britain. First, they settled in Canada temporarily but have moved to LA since. Currently, they are residing in Tyler Perry’s former house. A few weeks ago, it was reported that the Royal family had a scare when drones started flying over their house. However, Prince Harry and Meghan are in a much better place since Megxit. Their biography, Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of A Modern Royal Family, will release in August this year. Through this book, the Sussex Royals will set the record straight. One thing rumored to be in the book is that the decision to leave the Royal family was discussed before their marriage. According to sources:
‘The seeds of Megxit were sown before they even got married. The truth is that Harry had been deeply unhappy for a long time. And he and Meghan openly discussed going in a different direction well before they got married.’
Recently, a senior member of the Royal family talked about Megxit.
In a rare interview, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, discussed Megxit. Sophie is married to Prince Edward, the youngest son of Queen Elizabeth. In 1999, she became a part of the Royal family but had five years to adjust. She said:
“Remember I’d had five years to adjust. And for our six-month engagement I was even staying in Buckingham Palace. Not that you necessarily know how it will pan out.”

Briefly, after her marriage, Sophie and Prince Edward left the royal duties for a short time. When talking about Megxit, she said:
“We all try to help any new member of the family. I just hope they will be happy.”

When Meghan joined the Royal family, Sophie became her mentor and supported her.
