Amid George Floyd protests, celebrities have been taking equal part in condemning his murder and police brutality. Similarly, Lady Gaga’s Instagram will be handed over to the charity organizations and activists.

While delivering a speech for the Class of 2020, Stupid Love singer talked about Black Lives Matter.

In order to celebrate the Class of 2020’s graduation, a virtual YouTube ceremony was held. During the ceremony, many celebrities gave speeches and encouraged young graduates. Among many, Lady Gaga also recorded her speech. However, she admitted that she had a different speech but changed it after George Floyd’s murder. She said:

“I wish to tell you today that though there is much to be sad about, there is also much to be celebrated. You are watching what is a pivotal moment in this [country’s] evolution…change will happen and it will be for the better.”

Furthermore, Lady Gaga expressed hope and a better future for young people and said:

“I believe in my heart that the people who are going to make this change happen are listening to this speech right now. You are the seeds that will grow into a new and different forest that is far more beautiful [than the one we live in right now].”

For better reach, Lady Gaga’s Instagram will be handed over to charity organizations and activists.

At the moment, Lady Gaga’s Instagram has 42.2 million followers. Therefore, she wants activists and the Black Lives Matter movement to take over her Instagram and spread their message. On Lady Gaga’s Instagram, she announced:

“Starting tomorrow, I’m giving over my Instagram account to each of the organizations I’ve recently donated to, in an effort to amplify their important voices. And after I vow to regularly, in perpetuity, across all of my social media platforms, post stories, content, and otherwise lift up the voices of the countless inspiring members and groups within the Black community.”

Apart from Lady Gaga’s Instagram, Lizzo, Selena Gomez and many other’s social media accounts are open for taking over. The celebrities are doing their part by providing these platforms for the Black Lives Matter movement’s message to spread.
