Ryan Gosling Will Take On The Role of Wolfman in New Movie
After the success of The Invisible Man, Universal Studios is all set to make a reboot of The Wolfman. For this film, they have already selected an A-list, Oscar nominee, Ryan Gosling. However, Ryan Gosling’s Wolfman is still looking for a director.
Originally released in 1941, a remake with a stellar cast came to cinemas in 2010
Directed by Joe Johnston, The Wolfman was first made in 1941. After 69 years, the remake tells the tale of a tortured soul who reunites with his family when his brother goes missing. Upon his return, he comes face to face with his horrifying destiny. The cast of this version included some of the best and well-reputed actors. Along with Emily Blunt, The Wolfman cast included Anthony Hopkins, Benicio del Toro, and Hugo Weaving. Despite being a high budget film and an incredibly talented cast, the film could not impress the audiences. However, Universal Studios is all set to develop Ryan Gosling’s Wolfman.
While the studio is still looking for a director, Ryan Gosling’s Wolfman is already in the development phase.
After casting Ryan Gosling for the lead role, Universal Studio is in the process of finalizing the director. Ryan Gosling’s Wolfman is another film from the Universal Studio’s relaunch of their monster universe. While the reboot of The Mummy starring Tom Cruise did not do that well, Elizabeth Moss’ The Invisible Man exceeded expectations. Similarly, everyone has high hopes for Ryan Gosling’s Wolfman. Although details are not yet revealed, the film will be set in present-day with a supernatural theme. However, it will also follow some structure of Jake Gyllenhaal’s Nightcrawler. The script is writing by Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo, who also wrote Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black. Although it is not confirmed yet, neither has Universal Studios commented on it, Cory Finley’s name is coming up for direction. He is best know for directing HBO’s Bad Education, starring Hugh Jackman. Despite the fact that the film is in initial stages, Ryan Gosling’s Wolfman will be much-anticipated.
