Karlie Kloss is Called Out For Linking With Ivanka Trump
Since George Floyd’s murder, it seems that a war is going on, not just on the streets but on social media as well. After Karlie Kloss, who is Ivanka Trump’s sister-in-law, posted a Cleo Wade quote, she was called out by Tavi Gevinson. Along with her, many Twitter users dragged the model for her hypocrisy.
After dating for six years, Karlie Kloss married Joshua Kushner and became a family member of Ivanka Trump.
While she has made a name for herself in the modeling world, her close relationship with Ivanka Trump is discussed a lot. If you don’t know, Kloss and Trump’s husbands are brothers. Not only that, Ivanka Trump’s husband, Jared Kushner is also a senior advisor to his father-in-law, Donald Trump. Kloss and Kushner have been married since 2018. Although the couples try to keep their relationship private, it is not that easy when you are related to the President of the US. Despite them avoiding the subject of politics, it is inevitable for them to hide from it.
After she posted a quote related to George Floyd’s murder, people bashed her on Twitter.
In order to show her solidarity with the black community and condemn racism, Karlie Kloss posted a Cleo Wade quote on Instagram. She also mentioned that the prints of the quote were for sale and all the proceeds will go to Anti-racist Research and Policy Center. However, people were not happy with this. Tavi Gevinson, writer and actor, posted a lengthy comment on her post which said:
Karlie, give it a rest. You have a lot of nerve to make a show of championing girls’ coding and your other causes while only politely disowning your family in public (lmao @ you ignoring Ivanka Trump on social media; she still went to your wedding). I can’t believe you’re not more embarrassed not just by them but YOUR decision to only publicly disown their politics in polite ways so you can have it both ways. I don’t know what kinds of conversations you have behind the scenes (besides when Jared asked your dad to solicit solutions to a global pandemic in a Facebook group back in March 😂) but like……..what am I looking at. This is a fucking joke.
Karlie Kloss’ post came on the same day when Donald Trump called the protesters thugs. Needless to say, people will not forget to mention her close relationship with Trump’s, no matter what her intentions are.
