After a white police officer killed a black man in violent crime of racial discrimination, people have been protesting all over the country. Despite staying peaceful, police have started arresting George Floyd protesters. However, Chrissy Teigen, Steve Carell, and many more celebrities are giving bail money to them.

Within a week of Geroge Floyd’s murder, the protests have taken a violent turn.

When the ‘I can’t breath’ video went viral, protests started taking place in Minneapolis. Initially, Geroge Floyd protesters stayed peaceful and calm. However, in order to disperse the large crowds gathering, the police used rubber bullets and gas. After that, George Floyd protesters resorted to violence, looting, and setting police cars on fire. Not only that, but the police also started arresting the protesters and putting them behind the bars. However, the protests did not limit to one state or city. From LA to Memphis, the march for justice has spread all over the country. Although George Floyd’s killer has been arrested, the protests have reached the White House as well.

In order to release George Floyd’s protesters, many celebrities have started giving bail money for them.

While celebrities like Lady Gaga and Beyonce have supported people to sign a petition for justice, others are giving bail money to George Floyd protesters. Including Seth Rogen and Steve Carell, Chrissy Teigen is also actively helping the protesters get a bail. In a tweet, she wrote:

“In celebration of whatever the f*** maga night is, I am committed to donating $100,000 to the bail outs of protesters across the country.”

Later, she pledged more bail money and tweeted about it.

A large number of celebrities including Jameela Jameel, Don Cheadle, Kehlani, and Janelle Monae had donated to Minnesota Freedom Fund. This is an organization that helps people get bail if they cannot afford it.
