Actor from Insecure, Kendrick Sampson claims that he was hit four times by rubber bullets by LAPD.  The actor was taking part in George Floyd’s death in Los Angeles, the black man whom a white police officer killed along with accomplices. The actor went live on his Instagram during the protest and the video even shows officers firing rubber bullets at the actor and protestors in general. The video is also present with CNN.

Kendrick Sampson Said They Did Not Have Weapons

Kendrick Sampson expressed his anger over the treatment the LAPD police are giving to the protestors. With a bleeding lip, he told the viewers about getting beaten by batons and rubber bullets.

“Y’all ain’t see no police fucking up white folks when they took guns to the statehouse. Y’all didn’t see police attacking white folks, beating em up with batons, shooting them with rubber bullets when they brought guns to fucking state houses. We came up here with no weapons, with masks. And we’re the ones who are not peaceful.”

Kendrick Sampson was in West Hollywood on weekend to demonstrate his Build Power initiative with the Black Lives Matter trend. He moved to protests in Los Angeles in Fairfax District where the protestors eventually clashed with the police.

“We did an event together, peaceful, powerful, talking about defunding the police, talking about building power in our communities and what that really looks like. That’s what we were doing. We marched to the intersection at Fairfax, we were there for a bit. We closed it out with a chant.”

Unfortunately, such violent acts by the police are trending all over the Internet as the government looks to swiftly break down the riot over George Floyd’s death. The murder happened when a white policeman, Derek Chauvin, kneeled on his neck to take him in custody, eventually killing him.
