The US is engulfed with George Floyd protests, especially in Minneapolis, after a white policeman killed a black man during an arrest. As the celebrities choose sides ad voice out support for Floyd and the protests, Donald Trump’s unusual Tweet grabbed attention as well. In what could be termed as ‘glorifying violence’, Twitter took notice of the tweet and immediately deleted the tweet from the President. The same tweet was also sent out from the White House’s Twitter account, which the media group also deleted. But that was not the only reaction, as Taylor Swift joined in against Trump to show him ‘reality’.

Taylor Swift Slams Trump After THAT Tweet

Taylor Swift took to Twitter to express her anger over Donald Trump’s tweets which the social media platform claimed were glorifying violence. His tweets were encouraging police officers to shoot protestors if they begin shooting. An excerpt from his tweet was:

“When the looting starts the shooting starts”

This was actually a quote from several decades ago when the police in the country were prepping themselves for a protest back then. Taylor Swift responded heavily:

“After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence?,” she wrote. “‘When the looting starts the shooting starts’??? We will vote you out in November @realdonaldtrump.”

Taylor Swift has become suddenly vocal about her political stance recently. In her documentary, she expressed the need to be vocal about all the wrong that is happening and use her celebrity status to make a difference. She first spoke out against Republican Marsha Blackburn and told Tennessee residents to instead vote for Democrat Phil Bredesen.

The You Need To Calm Down singer, Taylor Swift amassed a huge amount of likes on this response to Trump. She gathered more than 2 million likes and more than 430 thousand retweets to her post.
