Karen Gillan is Obsessed With ‘The Last Dance’ Documentary

Based on the incredible career of Michael Jordan, The Last Dance has taken the world by storm. Not only are the basketball fans enjoying the documentary, but celebrities are also praising it. Similarly, Karen Gillan expressed his obsession with the Netflix show on Twitter.

For many, The Last Dance made quarantine a bit easier

Co-produced by ESPN Films and Netflix, the show is directed by Jason Hehir. It revolves around Michael Jordan and his glorious basketball career. However, it focuses on his last season with the Chicago Bulls. The series features never seen before exclusive footage from behind the scenes. Including Jordan himself, The Last Dance show interviews with Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, and Phil Jackson. Although the production started in 2018, the release date was pushed to 2020. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, ESPN and Netflix decided to release the series with the following statement:

As society navigates this time without live sports, viewers are still looking to the sports world to escape and enjoy a collective experience. We’ve heard the calls from fans asking us to move up the release date for this series, and we’re happy to announce that we’ve been able to accelerate the production schedule to do just that. This project celebrates one of the greatest players and dynasties ever, and we hope it can serve as a unifying entertainment experience to fill the role that sports often play in our lives, telling a story that will captivate everyone, not just sports fans.

Since its release, fans, and celebrities including Karen Gillan, have been raving about The Last Dance.

Best known for Amy Pond in Doctor Who, Karen Gillan has gained the status of A-list Hollywood celebrity. She has been a part of films like Avengers, Guardian of the Galaxy, Jumanji. Recently, Karen Gillan expressed her love for The Last Dance and asked her fans if they had seen it. In a tweet, she wrote:

Anyone else obsessed with The Last Dance doc? It’s incredible.
