Kristen Bell Opens Up About Potty Training Her Kids

0 311

Kristen Bell, like all moms, is usually consumed with thoughts of diapers. With two kids, one a 7-year-old and the other 5-years-old, Kristen Bell is busy running after them all day.

Talking on the newest episode of Momsplaining with Kristen Bell, she revealed what it’s like potty training her kids. Although her oldest daughter decided at 21 months that she would use the toilet from now on, Kristen’s young one is a bit different.

“My oldest daughter at 21 months, we merely suggested that she use the toilet in the other room. And she never wore another diaper beyond that. We were lying in bed giggling about this, my husband and I, like, ‘Why does everyone make a big deal out of this potty training? It’s so easy. Just tell the kid to use the toilet.'”

However, she also said every kid is different. And used her 5-year-old as an example and revealed she’s still not potty trained.

Kristen Receives Backlash For “Humiliating” Her Daughter

And like everything that is said on the internet these days, Kristen received major backlash once the episode aired.

“Why would @KristenBell relate this humiliating fact about her child, along with identifying details like her name?” a fan wrote on Twitter. “Delta may not know about this yet, but she will: In the middle of a pandemic during her delicate formative years, her mom told the world she was still in diapers.”

However, Kristen was quick to come to her daughter’s defense. She wrote back saying,

“I also don’t think it’s humiliating if ur kid wears diapers late. Everyone is different. My 5yr old wouldn’t be embarrassed even if she was in diapers during the day! She’s confident & goofy & doesn’t see anything about her beautiful unique self something to apologize for. Xo.”
