Matthew McConaughey Donates 110,000 Masks To Texas
As if he isn’t already doing enough, Matthew McConaughey took it upon himself to take care of the frontline workers in the coronavirus pandemic by offering up to 110,000 face masks to hospitals in Texas. Dallas Buyers Club actor personally delivered a carload of packed masks to hospitals around Texas who are fighting the pandemic. McConaughey posted a photo of the delivery on his Instagram account for motivation. Recently, the actor held a virtual Bingo Night with an elderly nursing institute to brighten up the general mood. The star and his family invited the aged people on Zoom video call for entertainment.
Matthew McConaughey Helping Out Rural Hospitals
Matthew McConaughey’s wife Camila Alves McConaughey joined him as well as both set out in their Lincoln pickup to donate 110 thousand face masks to rural hospitals in Texas. The Interstellar star posted a picture on Instagram during their mission:
As Variety is reporting it, Matthew McConaughey and his wife made another donation of masks to hospitals back in April. Back then the two collaborated with Bethenny Frankel of “Real Housewives of NYC” and her initiative BStrong. The trio donated 80,000 masks to hospitals in Austin and New Orleans.
As you can see, Matthew McConaughey has been really active with his spirit to fight the coronavirus. To add further to his community services during the pandemic, he also delivered a message to the graduating students at the University of Texas at Austin, which is his alma mater. On the show Good Morning America he came over on a video call to present a salute to New York’s Urban Assembly School for Emergency Management.
As for the coronavirus, the new pandemic has affected around 5.7 million people with over 350,000 deaths on record. Although the graph of the number of death seems to be curving towards a slowing point, is this what the situation is in real? One fact remains constant, we must continue to distance ourselves and wear masks!
